I bought this for the 5th gen i7 NUC cooler

I bought this for the 5th gen i7 NUC cooler. Judging by the reviews of this little monster, it gets very hot in a standard case , and the fan revs up a lot and gets pretty loud. I wouldn't know; I ordered this along with the i7 and when they arrived I immediately pulled the i7 NUC motherboard out of the stock housing. Assembly was a breeze but beware there are no extra washers/screws. So if you drop something, you'll have to contact Akasa for another one. My only issue is that the connectors on

Expensive, but worth the money. High quality workmanship and materials. This thing seems HEAVY. With this case you can assemble a completely silent solid state computer with no moving parts and no noise. Reasonable instructions and includes everything except NUC, memory and SSD. There is room for both an M.2 SSD and a standard 2.5-inch SSD. Keeps the CPU temperature within limits at 30-40°C, idle, under load 60°C. The case is quite large compared to the NUC, but it does a good job of passive…

The case is excellent. I've read a few reviews complaining of some whining noises and that the ports may not match properly. Neither is a problem. When you unscrew and open the lid, there is a howling sound (if you hear high frequencies), but it is not heard at all when the computer is fully assembled. As for the ports, all the connectors work fine and there are no issues, although they seem a bit out of place. Now I have a NUC that is absolutely silent and also works great. This thing is…

Quality case for NUC 5i7, does its job well

Great case for Intel 5i7 NUC. The parts are of good quality and assembly went smoothly. I found the fit and finish to be excellent. The instructions are descriptive so you'll need a bit of interpretation, and they assume you've already removed the board from the factory NUC case. So I went to YouTube and read how to disassemble it. never mind Also, I had to buy ultra-thin RF cables for wireless and Bluetooth - around $6 for home delivery, and they're a little tricky to plug into the card (it's…
