Akebono ACT914A Front Disc Brake Review

Super easy installation on your wife's 2005 Honda Accord. Basically no problems! I would definitely buy them again! highlighted.

Installation Date: 07/05/2022. The mechanic had to install the brakes and rotors due to a hand injury. I will update the review if I encounter any issues. while it works fine.

Excellent brake pads. I installed front brakes on my 2015 Honda CRV. Easy to install, all hardware fits perfectly. These pads last much better than the original equipment. It's hard to believe how much better the brakes feel now. I'm glad I used them!

I combined them with Brembo No Thrills rotors, empty and UV coated. My brake judder is gone, brake pedal feel is softer, but stopping power is the same if not more than the original (bites hard). With these pads, no break is required

Was a little skeptical about buying this as it is all ceramic, knowing that when cold it could take some time to 'warm up'. That's not the case here though, it works great at any temperature. Feel OEM and I think it could be OEM for some car brands. Also, there is no noise, which is always the case! Highly recommended!

I used all the brake pads as I'm delivering stops and moves all night. I climb steep mountains and descend. These pads are by far the best out there. They heat up less and give off heat faster. I also use Auto Zone's carbon steel rotors and they seem to work very well together. Other brakes and rotors deform and wear out very quickly. They are doing very well and are holding up as I had hoped.

You're on a friend's 2013 Honda Accord. I don't remember the exact year, but he had a 4-cylinder with a gun. Akebono makes great brake pads and they didn't disappoint. I also ended up getting Bosch wheels as my friend's brake pedal was pulsing and the steering wheel was shaking. They fixed that issue and he says the brakes feel just as good as the stock brakes.

No brake problems and no noise, 914A comes with mounting kits. Comes with two different sets (pad holder where the pad is held to the caliper) so make sure you know which one is right for your car. If you install a large one or the wrong one, it can touch your rotors and cause an annoying squeak. put bosch pads and discs on my 2016 accord. At first I was very happy, but after 2 months I started getting a noise that sounded like I was trying to stop using the ceramic block. Called Bosch and they told Revain to arrange the return. I did it and Revain credited it to me. After removing the pad, the material on the edges came loose.
