Great at first but fizzled out quickly

When we first got it it was fantastic. The waffles were always perfectly cooked. However, in recent months it has become nothing more than a huge waste of space on our kitchen counter. For some reason it no longer maintains a constant temperature, so one waffle is perfect and the next a congealed mush. I contacted All-Clad to see if they would do anything about it, but their response was basically "sorry for your luck". We have a $30 Cuisinart heart-shaped waffle maker that has worked better…

Stop talking about this iron and just buy it!

There's nothing I don't like about this waffle maker. I'm really pissed that over the years I've thought about buying it and spent over $150 on cheap waffle makers despite the fact that I've been able to enjoy delicious, amazing waffles the whole time. Has a very solid construction. Uniform heating. The overflow tray on the back works great! This thing doesn't require a non-stick spray. The waffles are large, crispy and golden yellow and completely cooked through. I use the second option. Also…

Cheap junk best in small appliances

I'm a little waffle fanatic and eat them every day for breakfast. I had a Cuisinart waffle maker for several years until the outer plastic lid cracked from constant use. I decided to spend the extra money on this all-clad waffle maker because of its sturdy construction. I ended up with a complete set of All Clad cookware and am quite happy with their design. This waffle maker is very cheap and not worth the extra cost. The numbers on the dial were erased a month after purchase. The "rivets" on…

Good workmanship, lousy electronics

This device is nice and well built, but perhaps the most important part of this type of device - the temperature control - is terrible. I'm picky about waffles and want a fluffy interior surrounded by a crispy golden brown exterior. The recipes I use cook this way at 350-360 F in about 4 minutes. I monitor the temperature with an infrared surface thermometer. (Did I mention I'm picky?) The temperature scale on this unit is relative, going from 0 (off) to 7 (?). simply turns green, the…

The waffle maker does everything they say.

The product has not convinced me for a long time. In search of a replacement for my defunct Belgian waffle maker I read all the reviews of several genuine Belgian waffle makers. When I stumbled upon this one, the many negative reviews made me think twice before ordering. After receiving and making waffles with it, I'm really impressed. The overflow bowl worked perfectly. Does not spill and is easy to clean. My old car wasn't that easy to keep clean. When the waffle batter was fully cooked and…

Uneven cooking - well-done center and almost raw edges

It looked so impressive when it arrived, but looks can be deceiving. The All-Clad waffle maker is a solid weight which means it is a well made product and this impression is reinforced by the perfect looking waffles that All-Clad features in their ads. I was really looking forward to the waffles I imagined she would make for my family. But the reality didn't quite match the images in the All-Clad ad. We bought our All-Clad waffle maker on 11/29/2020. The first batch of waffles turned out well…

Do not buy. There are better products.

I've been a waffle fanatic all my life. My love of waffles was instilled in me from a young age by my father and I have worked hard to pass this on to my children. I bought this product after years of buying cheap waffle makers only to have to replace them every few years. Worked great the first few times. Then something happened to the thermostat or something and it didn't turn off regardless of the setting. The end-of-cooking beep sounded prematurely and repeated every few seconds even though

  • So far so good
