Chipped coating easily stains rust

The blade is coated with some type of resin/plastic to protect it from rusting. However, chipped coatings easily lead to rust spots. Also, the handle is hollow and holds water, which is a bit annoying as rust will drip off the next day when you use it.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Expensive

It is necessary? for painting accessories and tools

Fixed some holes in the drywall. First timer. It turned out perfect. I'm just wondering if this particular device was even necessary or if I could have used an old spatula for this. Or a credit card. As for the product itself, I might have liked it to be more flexible, but other than that it was solid and did the job.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions

Smooth Operator - Taping Knives

I use this for decorating cakes and smoothing frosting. I know it's not intentional, but it really works like a dream, and it's cheaper than buying the exact same tool from a cake dealer. Whatever works right! Although I won't be using the same tool to mask off and color a room, I bought 2.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Perfect fit for blankets Popcorn

I've used it to pop popcorn off ceilings (after wetting them with a garden sprayer) throughout the house. He worked great. I would use the same again if I had to remove popcorn ceilings again, which is unlikely because I will never buy a house with popcorn ceilings or remove popcorn ceilings again. Phew, popcorn ceilings!

  • Cool product

It was the perfect tool for applying grout

I had to rip off the mirror that was glued to the wall and used it to strip a lot of the drywall off the wall. So we read what to do and we had to use a joint sealer to fill in the spots and then prime on top. It was the perfect tool for applying caulking. It's wider than our regular scraper, but it worked great!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Amazing quality and craftsmanship in this band knife!

This drywall cutter is very high quality and I will probably never need to buy a knife of this size again. The metal is very strong yet flexible. In the photo, the handle looks like cheap plastic, but it's actually an extremely durable and resilient polymer material. If you are looking for a durable 6 inch band knife look no further. This is the best tool for the job.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some small things

One small step above plastic, three steps below stainless steel.

According to Charles Barkley it's "awful, just awful". Rather than using stainless steel (which resists rusting), this knife is made from steel with a thin epoxy-like laminated finish. This coating breaks off after 5-10 washes and then just rusts. how. crazy. I've had about 6 sessions with this knife. If you plan on using it a few times and throwing it away, go ahead. You get something more durable than plastic. But if you want something durable, go for stainless steel. At the same time I…

Great knife for gluing and repairing drywall!

This is a solid drywall knife at a reasonable price. It feels good in the hand and Allway has done a great job of finishing the edges and coating the blade to resist rust. I have a different brand 4" trowel that quickly began to delaminate and then rust, so the contrast was a pleasant surprise. It has enough flexibility to blend the edges. So far I am very happy with my drywall. Repair - and I know my own drywall technique leaves something to be desired. Two very minor criticisms: 1) A bit of…
