What the hell on Eyes

I was running out of Almay's original makeup remover wipes (non-waterproof with a pink label) so I decided to try these waterproof ones (with a blue label). The ones with the pink label were great even with a little oil. So when I read the bad reviews about the blue label ones, I assumed the users were being irrational in their complaints about the oil. The oil in the roses was simply washed away when you washed your face before bed. They can't be that different, I thought stupidly. First…

Good makeup remover, but non-greasy is better

If you don't use waterproof mascara, I would recommend Almay's non-greasy makeup remover. This one is clearly oil based and removes makeup fairly easily, but I find it takes a little more effort to remove the mascara than without oil. I expected it to be more efficient. I like the idea of the oil moisturizing the eye area, but I'm not sure it's enough to offset the extra rubbing required to remove makeup. Like its oil-free counterpart, it's hypoallergenic and fragrance-free, which is a plus for

  • Nothing

These are the first eye makeup remover wipes I have bought in years but I need to buy more. Although I felt they did a pretty good job removing makeup, my skin always remained very oily and I had to wipe it off. After using them for a few weeks, I also noticed that I was starting to break out pimples around my eyes, as well as on the soft, delicate skin above and below my eyes. I think it might have something to do with parabens, although I'm not an expert. I also felt that my vision got a bit…

Terrible is an understatement

I have been using Almay's eye makeup remover for many years. I can say that this item I received are not genuine Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads. The pad is very thick, very oily and feels. These are none other than the Almay pads which I have been using for 10 years. I ordered them because I couldn't come to the store due to laziness and now I'm paying for it. You are bad. You are just wrong. I don't know how else to explain them. They even have a strange smell. Please go to the store and buy…

Great for stubborn makeup

I bought this because I bought some liquid eyeliner that I really liked but found almost impossible to remove with my regular makeup remover. I have sensitive skin so it's difficult to find a makeup remover that doesn't irritate even with minimal washing. This made it easy to remove all my eye makeup and I only used a pad and a half! I like that the pads aren't very wet, but I don't have to rub hard to remove anything. Really good for removing stubborn makeup. It left a slight oily residue but…

Oily Makeup: Cosmetics

I bought these because the reviews seemed positive and I wanted something that would make makeup removal easier. Despite the fact that the cosmetics fly high, they are incredibly BOLD! It feels like someone took a cotton pad, dipped it in vegetable oil and smeared it on my face. Then I have to wash my face twice to get all the oil out. Judging by the packaging, you might think it smells like fresh cucumber, but it doesn't smell like anything. I don't like them at all, except when I have REALLY…

I wish I had just bought in store

This is my first time buying this Revain product. I usually shop in store, but my nearest store nearby doesn't stock it anymore, so Revain was more convenient. First, the product was packed in a plastic bag. When I opened the package, the entire outside of the container was oily. So much so that the label came off. Then the inner seal came loose by more than half. I needed this product so I decided to use it anyway. In my eyes, the leaves look much "stiffer" and not as delicate. I don't rub. I…

Use on eyes at night

I've tried so many different eye makeup removers and I've been looking for a product that will remove mascara without pulling and scrubbing the delicate skin around my eyes. I keep going back to these Almay pads. I've even tried other versions of it and I don't like them. Yes, this remover is greasy/oily. But that's exactly why it works so well! He removes my mascara with a few light strokes. It leaves a greasy residue, so I recommend using it before bed or before washing your face. I…
