Very durable. Boating and Sailing

I installed this ladder at the stern of a 20ft cove and it has withstood heavy traffic and high salinity. Looks as new as the day I installed it. It is best to tie a rope to the bottom step so that the last person to climb the ladder brings the rope. This eliminates the cumbersome process of having to swing half your body over the back of the transom to hold on to the bottom half of the ladder. Just pull the line up and the bottom half folds up nicely and easily.

It was perfect for our pool deck!

We liked it so much we bought more! We bought one to get out onto the patio from the pool and then it worked so well we bought another one for the patio. We have a fence around the pool but it was perfect for extra protection from small children who kept the pool outside when we weren't there. We could just climb the stairs and the pool was closed. It was strong enough for my 250 lb husband to get in and out of easily enough. Easy to install and holds up well through the season.

Bad manufacturing. Welds are all crooked. Garbage.

Poor manufacture. This thing is so crooked it's not even funny. I've ordered, paid money, waited, now I'm faced with the decision of doing it all over again or installing that crooked, warped ladder on my beautiful pontoon boat. I'm so upset now. Where these things are built, is there no quality control? How can a company sell such an inferior product? It seems super powerful, but they obviously can't use frame square. A boat will always look goofy and crooked.

  • Consistent test results

Highly recommended for sports

My family is made up of tall people and the elderly and as lifelong boaters we know one thing, it's that the steps should be long enough to fit comfortably. and out of the water. These steps are perfect for our pontoon. They are easy to install and durable. I recommend replacing the latch that holds the ladder with something better to hold it in place when moving. During the ride we use a bungee cord with a boar clip. We used this on the front deck of the pontoon in place of the rear entry and…

Wow. Great item best in stairs

Bought not knowing much after reading other bad comments. Of course without fastening material. The manufacturer doesn't know if you're attaching it to concrete, metal, wood, or fiberglass. Me? Wooden float so I need to buy screws and washers for the wood. No problem as I no longer have any hardware that I can't use and I don't incur any additional costs. Smart move. The device is solid. difficult conditions. Needed to be held together under my 250lb fat body for years and worn down by me and…

Discerning Mother-In-Law Approves

A pontoon houseboat is moored at our permanent dock on the lake. The water level fluctuates frequently and that sometimes means a high pier stair climb, which my mother-in-law didn't appreciate (prosthetic knees, to be honest). I wanted to make sure that any ladder I put on the boat was the best ladder I could find so there would be no complaints about that new ladder. I tried, which usually flex a bit on landing. It exits at an angle, making it closer to climbing stairs than climbing stairs…

Be careful when installing on the dock

At first glance it seems to be a heavy and solid ladder. However, the quality of stainless steel only becomes apparent over time and the weather. My dock, like most, was built with a 2x10 perimeter and 2x6 or 2x4 cross members to support the dock's surface. In my case Trex. The problem with this ladder is that the holes in the rim that must be screwed into the dock to attach the ladder to the dock line up exactly with the 2x10 EDGE. Of course you can add another piece of wood, but the screw…

Looks good, easy to install, generally positive, any flaws?

I bought these to use as a DOCK ladder to mount on my dock instead of on my boat. I was looking for a fairly small stainless steel ladder that could be lifted out of the water when not in use to keep it from slipping and causing algae to grow. This staircase meets these requirements very well. Assembly was a breeze, as was installation. I like the combination of the telescoping aspect with the articulated approach, which gives it a lower profile and a less obtrusive look when in the up position
