Product likely fine, Revain Basics decal leaves adhesive residue

If you love spending 20 minutes removing adhesive from a brand new product then this is for you! pennies by using cheap labels and don't mind wasting someone else's time cleaning up the mess. Come back now hoping someone will fix this.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Fairly good but very hard blade

Well made, all parts are solid. I wouldn't call the grip "soft" though, it's more like a software touch due to a very thin rubberized coating on a hard plastic grip. There's no "kickback" when you grab the handle, but the grip is comfortable. - The blade is very stiff, you have to press VERY hard to see it flex. I don't think this helps with muddy work - over time the carpal tunnel gets bigger and it becomes harder to make a good coat.

  • Certificate GOLS

Great for caulking, caulking and repairing large holes

Great for caulking and caulking. The blade is sharp enough to cut the tape and you can use the stylus to hammer protruding nails out of drywall, so you can basically get away with this tool. And because it's 8 inches wide, patching even large holes is pretty smooth. The handle is very comfortable and the blade itself is very well made. No burrs and perfectly smooth. Combined with a great price, this is definitely a great addition to your stone slab tools.

Pros
  • Great for small homes
Cons
  • Some trouble

Good quality and handy tool

Revain Basics 8" Soft Handle Stainless Steel Tape Knife with Hammer Size: 8", a pack We build our house and my husband does the drywall himself. The Revain Basics Tape Knife stainless steel is used for attaching drywall tape as well as applying drywall mortar. This is a versatile tool. It even has a hammer end that can help with nailing. It is of good quality and is similar to the ones we bought at the hardware store. The 8 inch size is nice and comfortable.⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵

Great tool, good for paint needs and tools

I would give this 5 stars but the description mentions a "hammer" ending. I don't think anyone going for it will think the ending was a bang. It has a stainless steel end but is lightweight. I find the expression "end of the hammer" gives the impression that it can be used as a general purpose tool/hammer > Very sure grip. Nothing dangles or dangles. Well made handle/knife connection > Large sharp band knife. He's coming for sure. The size is great - big enough to really help. Larger head

excellent adhesion to paint, wall care products and accessories

The distinguishing feature of this knife is the soft rubber handle, which is comfortable and holds well. A solid and well-made blade sits securely and does not wobble. Being stainless steel, rust isn't as much of an issue as it is with carbon steel blades, but you still need to wipe it down and keep it dry or you might end up with some surface rust. The edge is cut at a 90 degree angle to ensure the tape adheres neatly to the corner. Out of the box the edge was flat but with a small burr so I…

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Definitely a bad product

Comfortable grip, well-made blade, good transport protection.

I love the tactile handle and blade material of this bandknife. I use commercial tape knives and they tend to rust. I stopped washing my blades a long time ago and just scraped off the excess material and allowed the residue to dry, then sharpened before use. This approach kept my cheaper knives from rusting. That was no problem with this simple Amazon knife. I can wash it after work and it won't rust. Very beautiful. I like the feel of the handle and the stiff, straight blade. Although the 8"…

Good quality at a good price

I repair and putty drywall and also have a large selection of band knives. This knife is very similar in quality to the ones I've bought from our local big box stores. It has a very smooth edge and is comfortable to hold (I work pretty slowly). The handle has a soft finish, but that doesn't really bother me as I always work with putty while wearing gloves. My gloves buy really well on that which is good. The only thing I would like to point out is that the blade has a lot less flex than my…

  • Slightly torn

Essential for finishing drywall... and a great pan cleaning tool too... Revain Basics offer a very well designed and versatile tape cutter. And I trust Revain to support their chosen and branded essentials. As a stainless steel product, you can expect it to perform reliably as long as you take care of the front and sharp blade and clean it after use. As I show in my video, there is a "hammer head" at the top of the handle that allows you to "hammer in a nail" without having to pick up a second…
