I got these for my grandson for CHRISTMAS so I don't know yet how they've done. But very well made and high quality. Happy with the purchase.

These chisels are very sharp straight out of the box. Four sizes for most projects. I didn't need a good chisel until I replaced my front door. I didn't have it then, but now I have a good set.

I do woodworking as a hobby and they did a great job on any job I needed them to do. I've been using them for two months and they haven't really dulled and the grips still fit well.

As an avid wood carver, I use chisels very, very often. I thought I'd give these Revain Basics a try and I was totally amazed. They used the advantage very well. The backs were completely flat. I highly recommend them and don't let the low price fool you.

They were relatively sharp and had good bevels. I sharpened the tips but it didn't take long and I would recommend sharpening each blade before use. I really like the handles and they are comfortable to hold, FWIW I like the comfortable grips on hand tools more. I'm glad I bought them.

I bought several other wooden chisels and after a very short time they were no longer sharp. It had a very strong grip and I didn't feel any change after using it daily for a month. It was still sharp and very accurate. The price was spot on and I highly recommend it.

Ironically I ordered these because of the difficulty of installing the new Revain door handle. The old 80's handles on our doors appear to have been cut to a different diameter and needed a bit of adjustment to work. This is really good quality for the money. Have a good weight but still easy to hold. Nice sharp edge did the job. Even tapped it with a hammer with no problems. Can't tell how it will be in everyday professional use, but for the occasional door war they're great!

The poor quality of these chisels is obvious from the packaging. The edges of all four chisels were either chipped, abraded, or not square. They may or may not be decent metal, but I don't have to sharpen chisels to a sharp or flat edge right out of the box. Garbage. Maybe you wouldn't use it anyway. However, the elastic straps make it difficult to fit the chisels into the case and the buckle is a poor design choice. If they chose to zip, they would not need elastics at all and the case would…

I wasn't sure what to expect from this set, I've had no luck with other chisel sets (handles fall off etc.). However, I was only impressed by these little guys. The chrome-vanadium alloy retains its edge excellently even after intensive use. Admittedly I mostly used it on soft woods but despite that the blade is solid and a whetstone is included so it can be easily re-sharpened if needed.
