Requires at least 5/8 " hose for exit. 3/4 " will also do.

Haven't tested this in the water yet but will come back to my review if I have any issues. The main thing I wanted to share was that once it arrived I was finally able to figure out what size outlet hose was needed as the description didn't state that the hose was 5/8 inch (ID) or larger for correct operation was. Luckily, the 3/4" hose I bought still works.

  • Built in automatic overheat protection

1/4 HP submersible thermoplastic pump as advertised

Due to days of heavy rain, the water in my overflow pipes has not been repaired due to frost damage in Texas. I sank into this swamp, and after 30 minutes the water level dropped to a comfortable level, and after two hours the water level returned to normal. The drain pump was extremely easy to install and use. Since the pump itself was submerged in the pool, it was silent. Good price.

Pros
  • 40 GPM pumps, 2400 GPM at zero height
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Great for draining pools

Bought to drain a Β£20k pool but was only a little more expensive to buy this one from Revain and now we have him one that can be used every year. Hose it off and the pool will drain in about 2-3 days (we turn it off overnight towards the end to make sure it doesn't dry out). If it even lasts long enough to do it again next year, we'll collect the rent.

Pros
  • Bottom suction filters debris and removes up to 1/4 inch of surface water
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Great little pump and inexpensive

For several years I was plagued by a flooding sunken basement - a contractor installed a pump with a float valve - this thing never worked right - the basement quite often stood a foot high. I've used other auxiliary pumps over the years, but this "Mighty" pump has more power and thrust. drained half a meter of water in record time - I got rid of the old pump and used it as the main pump in the "French drainage system”. My pump is plugged into a smart socket - and with my camera in the…
