Be prepared to often buy bad design

The customer should be aware that these flaps need to be replaced frequently. About three times a year. Possibly the worst toilet design ever made by American standards. It flushes well, but be prepared to invest a little money in flapper valves.

Vormax Model - JUNK

I bought 5 VorMax model toilets when we moved into my new house in 2015. These seals must be replaced in every single toilet. 2 toilets required replacing the entire valve seat assembly. American Standard should be ashamed. Tried to call them last week and after an hour wait declined. Finally last week another of the toilets started leaking into the bowl, I replaced the gaskets and noticed the valve seat was worn and leaking. I replaced the toilet with a Kohler. The problem is solved.

Exactly the part I needed and it was a genuine genuine US Standard kit

Expensive flap repair but just what I needed to fix a leaky modern US Standard heavy duty toilet . Although the original part was only about a year old, there was an odd bulge on the sealing surface that kept the toilet working all along. This is a genuine factory parts kit including replacement instructions. The exchange took only a few minutes. The scope of delivery includes two special silicone sealing discs that are required for certain applications.

  • Easy to read control panel

Worked great but American Standard should be ashamed

So my house is two years old and has four Vormax flush toilets. A toilet began leaking into the bowl, causing it to "flush itself" every 10 minutes. These damper seals did an excellent job of solving the leak problem. So my rating of this product is five stars, but I would give an American Standard star for the design of these products and the cost of replacing those two silicone seals ($20+). For the price, these fillings should last at least 10 years, not two.

It works as advertised

I've had the same problem as others described for a while. Water constantly flows from the tank into the toilet. Roughly every 15 minutes, this caused a "phantom flush" that sounded like someone had flushed the toilet, when in fact the tank was being refilled. After I received the new gaskets in the mail, I drained the tank, removed the old gaskets, put in new ones, filled the tank and the leak was gone. Flushed several times to fill the tank and everything was fine. If I'm like everyone else…

A relatively inexpensive solution to a very poor toilet flush design.

This American standard toilet tank drainage design (4370A) has to be the most complicated and least thought out. It has 2 drains and 2 dampers! The number of parts has been doubled! What were they thinking and how was this design approved and put into production? The toilet is only about 2 years old. I have 2 Kohler toilets in my house that are 10 years old and have never broken a single part. 2 silicone Vormax valve seals "seem" to eliminate slow leakage. If they fail again - after 2 months or

Finally solved the leakage problem. Broken replacement gasket

I was wondering why there were 3 gaskets in the pack and not two, there were so many in the toilet. 3 looked stupid. After hours of emptying the tank and trying everything I could think of, including putting a rock on the shock to hold it in place with more force, I finally figured it all out. These seals sometimes appear to come from the factory with a "wave" or "bubble" around the edge. This allows a small amount of water to seep through the seal and eventually drain the tank. I was removing…

Mandatory for US standard double flush flush

If you have a US standard double flush toilet, be sure to stock it at home. This particular toilet has a serious disadvantage in that the seal fails about every six months. You'll notice it as you sit there and hear sounds like water running to fill the tank behind you. And that's what happens (and you didn't touch the flush handle). A "bubble" begins to form in the gasket, allowing water to seep through. The water level goes down and the automatic float in the tank fills up to the right level…
