    Compact and easy to use.

    filled the tank included in the kit and got started immediately. This is exactly what is described in the description of FLAMELESS heat. Doesn't get as hot as I'd like, but works the same way. Very compact and with accessories. The button seems to be struggling with the lock and doesn't always stay locked, but works when held down.

    Mad after it broke on the second day

    worked great on the first day then the latch on the bottom broke in half. The plastic is brittle for a working latch. I will try to print one on my 3D printer because after spending money on it and it broke I was furious but I like the idea of using their cheap lighters.

    Almost useless for soldering and soldering devices

    Only heated up 2-3 minutes after the process started. The only thing that got really hot was my finger - the trigger was too close to the hot element and I burned myself on more than one occasion. If it uses a cigarette lighter heat source, it must be rated for a BIC lighter, not one that requires lighter fluid. I returned it.

    Great for heat shrink or solder joints

    Bought after one of the techs at my company had one that he used to solder electrical connectors himself. I've found this to be a much better solution for terminating automotive wiring than crimp connectors and this heat gun makes the job easier. One star removed because the thickness of the metal used for the heat shield is slightly thinner and doesn't fit the end of the heat gun as snugly as I'd like, but it doesn't matter much. Would definitely buy again.

    Doesn't work - Heat Guns

    I originally bought this for a good quick fix for melting heat shrink tubing. Doesn't work at all. First, the fuel cell had a faulty fill valve, so all the butane escaped. Most importantly, I could never get his light. Not once. I tried the supplied fuel cell and 3 other types of lighters as I thought this might be a problem and it didn't even ignite. After that I opened the device and smelled butane all over the chamber but it never ignited and didn't work properly. Do not buy. Better buy a…

    Gets really hot - perfect for installing heat shrink in almost any weather

    Works as advertised although I think it's a bit pricey for such a simple construction which btw came with very loose loose screws (easy to fix). The only "lighter" that comes with the flashlight is durable, refillable, and thankfully easy to replace. Of course, how long a flashlight lasts depends on how often it is used. If you work in windy or cold weather, consider purchasing a reusable backup heat source. most likely it won't.
