Self-contained electronic RV door latch with Capacitive Touch Tech Technology that is a retrofit in RV entry doors. The touch pad is integrated with the door handle and controls the deadbolt making it convenient to install and operate. Completely programmable with a 4 digit PIN number. Low-profile inside egress prevents interference with screen door.We do not recommend zinc carbon batteries for this application. Keypad lights up for easy use at night and is powered by 4 AA batteries. Key operates the paddle or deadbolt lock in case of code loss or a dead battery. No wiring needed; uses 4 AA batteries (not included) It's retrofitable in most RV entry doors and it's easy to install Programmable with a 4 digit PIN number The large buttons are easy to see and use Proximity sensing which illuminates the buttons. Self-contained electronic RV latch with Capacitive Touch Technology. Offers hassle free touch pad access: no key or fob to carry with you. You are wonderful. best in RV Parts & Accessories

Would give a 5 star rating as I already have 4 of these locks but the last 2 they sent me were faulty. The locks seem to have changed in the last 6 months with a slightly different OS too. So not sure if they were sourced externally but quality control fell apart as two were faulty (didn't even work right away) and the third worked but had loose parts which I reattached. When you get one that works, they're amazing.

Installation was easy. The only problem was that I changed the default code.

I just installed it so 5 stars are not guaranteed. Installation was easy. The only mistake was that I changed the default code before installing. I couldn't get it to work. I used the default code and it worked fine. Apparently, if the power is completely removed, the code will reset to the default. I have not tested this by removing the batteries. If so, I would keep the source code somewhere in case it doesn't work after changing the battery.

Damn upgrade

Bought for my 5th wheel last year, installed, programmed, loved it. The unit was very easy to install (I actually installed it while camping with minimal tools), easy to program and simpler to use. The quality is very good, the pad is easy to see (day or night) and the key lock is a nice touch. The device has been installed for some time and is still running on the original batteries. Ideal for keyless entry.

These locks work as they should. Battery life is 6 months to a year and the code needs to be reset with new batteries. Resetting takes little time and simple instructions are on the battery cover. I suspect most people's performance issues are installation related. These locks are less forgiving of deadbolt and frame alignment than manual locks. A stronger motor/gearbox will not solve alignment problems. I've had this on both trailers and truck trailers and haven't had any issues with the…

Used and defective, sold as new.

I bought this item new. Not only did it not come in the original packaging, but the original small blister that came with it was cracked and full of holes. The lock itself had at least one broken wire, an extended contact strip, dirt/fingerprints and many scratches on the inside of the paint. I will definitely be returning this item! Mixed reviews for the best locks

The first one I got had a broken D-bar that connects to the inside handle that controls the deadbolt. The second was missing the screws and butt plate. Since I was ready to hit the road, I didn't want to risk a third order, so I reused my existing bolts and strike plates. Everything fits like clockwork and still works after the installation three weeks ago. Since installing it, I've noticed that one of the buttons isn't as sensitive as the others.
