Very quiet and powerful. Maybe even too strong. The force of the water created sand dunes in my substrate and pushed it. The tank is 6 feet long and holds 125 grams of salt water. That's a set speed, by the way. Doesn't wobble like I thought.

This was a great shaft generator, unfortunately it didn't meet my needs as I only have 40 and 55 gallons. The wave generator is so powerful I would recommend at least a 75+ long pool or maybe a small pond. I love the magnet and how it allows you to move the shaft generator which is extremely useful when upgrading my tanks. one.

I've used many different heads over the years, some too big, some too strong, some not strong enough. I wanted a head that can move from 0 to 100 and back so the fish can actually swim in and out of the current they are used to because some fish like stronger currents and some like weaker ones. The magnet holder is a much better design than the suction cups on most pumps in this price range and performance seems decent. I bought this for use in a reverse osmosis storage tank. The idea is that if I premix macros and GH/KH I can just add dry fertilizer and this wave generator will do the rest. As advertised. Easy to set up and some nice features. The front guard is removable for easier cleaning than some of the heavy duty heads. There was also a sliding screen to control the flow, which is simple and easy to use. Water circulation in each tank is paramount for food distribution and filtration.
