Works perfectly! Love it! Highly recommended

My tank was completely green. Within a few days of using this UV light everything cleared up and the algae has not returned!

Small but strong! for aquarium lamps

Generally a standard UV lamp, but definitely one of my favorites in terms of price / quality. not the longest, but otherwise a nice little UV light. I highly recommend this UV light for hobbyists!

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • I do not comment on that

Just the right size for my small pool

Got this for my smaller 3 gallon pool. I've always had UV lamps for saltwater aquariums. It really reduces algae as well as some fish diseases. It really helps keep the water crystal clear. The most important thing about them is that they must be fully submerged in water, not the open water that you or the fish see, as the light will kill them, so it must be hidden from them. in a sump or behind a tank in a filtration system. This particular model does not have a built in timer so you will need

Pros
  • Great for a small house

  • Long delivery time

Much more green algae in the pool

I put this in the pool about 6 weeks ago when the water was clear. We have two goldfish that overwinter in a 150 gallon aquarium with a good filter and out of the sun. Aquarium and harm the fish. So I had no choice but to awkwardly stick it in between the filter and the container that the filter is in, which looks sloppy and doesn't seem like it could be very effective as it literally touches the filter. After 10 days I noticed a green color. Algae grow throughout the aquarium. The pool took 2…

Doesn't matter! Worth every dollar!

For the first time in this hobby I was very excited but I noticed my aquarium looked dirty after the water change! It got VERY BAD. Didn't see any fish! I was researching what could be causing this and came across all these fancy and expensive sterilizing filters! Decided to give it a try as it was so much cheaper compared to everything I've seen to help with my algae outbreak. This genuine product didn't fit my water filter perfectly (had to improvise) but as you can see it did what it was…

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Works well, requires a sump to use

UV filtering in planted aquariums is HUGE, it's not required but has a significant impact on keeping the water clear much longer between water changes and filter cleaning . Normally the light is in some kind of canister and is surrounded by the water as the exposure to light is very harmful to your fish and even your plants. So this light will only work if you have a swamp or a safe hidden location (like really hidden where fish can't get in) in your aquarium. In my case I placed two of these…
