Aquatic Experts Filter Socks Micron Review

That's exactly what they say. They don't clog up too quickly. They seem well put together. I washed them in the sink with no problems. I do NOT put them in the washing machine like some have suggested - I have no idea what the soap scum will do as a small amount will certainly end up in my FOWLR saltwater tank.

Haven't cleaned them yet but they look and feel solid. They work great, I bought the Screamer and these socks because I have an engineer goby that keeps throwing trash in the water column. The filter sock cleans the water very well and helps minimize tire wear in my sump. I would recommend and continue to use these socks. Excellent purchase.

These socks look like any other good quality socks I've bought for a lot of money but have had to be changed more often than other socks I've bought so went for it I went back to my previous brand of socks from another seller after a few months of use. I have no other complaints other than that they just didn't last as long as the other more expensive brands I've bought. And I tried them for several months before deciding to return.

Clogs up pretty quickly and a lot of crap comes out when you flush, so you know they filter well! I recommend making a fender like I did. I don't have a sink so I use the hot tub with very high water pressure. I flip the sock and run it under high pressure. The problem was that the walls and surrounding area were spattered with water when I was done. So I took a 5 gallon bucket, cut a full sized piece of soap into the bottom and washed the sock in the bucket and it covered the spills nicely…

I learned 2 things with these filter socks. Firstly, I have no idea about the size (when I first ordered shorts because 8 inches sounded like a reasonable size compared to what my eyesight told me). Second, pet stores lie to you. now that they are 20. I thought you really had to work to get the life out of them. Excellent product. I have no doubt that they hold up well even after washing. Be careful not to cut any excess seams on the sock when opening the package. The company puts it there for a reason and emails a postal delivery to avoid clipping. Thought I'd mention that for those who see the extra rope and automatically pick up the scissors.
