Chilled my XPS15, easier than expected

Put it in the fridge for 20 minutes and then cut it with an exacto knife. Most of my cuts were clean but there were small tears as if the thermal tape had dried out. I also wanted it to be a bit tackier so I could ensure placement where I wanted it. Because the XPS15's back cover was taped in place, it stayed in place and worked great for transferring heat and cooling my computer. Before using the heater band, my XPS15 fan would run at high speed even with no apps open. I tried loading aโ€ฆ

This stuff is incredibly helpful.

I'm not sure if this particular version of the product would be the best choice for a PC processor. But for the Raspberry Pi, it solves so many problems. I use a heatsink with aluminum fins and oil filled hollow copper tubes that run through the aluminum base of the heatsink. Pretty standard for a Pi 4B. The copper tube runs just above the piston. Unfortunately, there is quite a large gap between them (1/16 inch). And thermal pastes are (generally) non-stick; I really didn't want to put them in

Great laptop cooling! Great for gaming and helps with CPU/GPU throttling.

If you have a hot laptop these are ideal for connecting heat generating areas to the laptop sleeve. If you have a laptop with an aluminum or metal chassis, use these pads to create contact points with the metal chassis. The metal case has a much larger surface area and is much better at absorbing and dissipating heat. This leads to an overall cooling of the laptop.
