I cannot recommend this heatsink enough if you are not interested in overclocking. It keeps my stock i7 9700k unoverclocked at a cool 75 degrees under load and only jumps to the low 80s when it's turbo. Installation was easy. I have a mini-ITX system so heat is only part of the story. I've recently noticed that my Ryzen is around 55-60C when idling and hitting close to 100C in AIDA64 and Blender renders. After installing Freezer 7X, I noticed that my idle temps got a little better (50-55°C), but now I never go above 80°C in AIDA64 or Blender renderings. I didn't even touch my fan curve or anything. This cooler's mounting "pad" extends outside of the LGA 1200 socket area. This meant I couldn't use it for my motherboard (mini-ITX) as the plastic tabs (required for assembly) were not inside the socket and conflicted with the M2 slot cover on one side and another permanent IC cover (not sure what's underneath) on the other side. I'll list my pros and cons: Pros: I bought this small heatsink because it fits perfectly in my case and is very compatible with my MOBO (LGA1150).
