Absolutely essential for servicing the Mini Cooper

Loved the flex and torque output. I just serviced the timing chain on a 2009 Mini Cooper S Clubman and used it on several clips between the firewall and the engine and elsewhere. I liked the option with 1/4 inch 6 point or 4 point heads. Great tool.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative side present

Great tool for tight spots!

This tool is ideal for those hard to reach places. The length and vertical access really help. I used this on a tractor diesel engine. Works well in place of ratchets and wrenches. It is easy to use for a long time. Saved on purchasing additional tools. Great addition to my tool box.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Fits

Ideal for hard-to-reach places!

I didn't have any of these when I was servicing the oven and decided to add it to my arsenal. It has an overall reach of 13 inches, can flex up to 180 when needed, and the insulated shaft makes it easy to hold while turning. While it's little used, I know it'll be there if I ever need it.

Pros
  • Datura 🔥

Great flexible screwdriver

I don't know why it took me so long to get one of these. The flex shaft is stiffer than I expected, but in the end it works pretty well. I also like the design of the lock bit at the end. There's nothing more frustrating than when a piece ends up coming out when you don't want it either. I plan to use this.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Withstood a tough challenge

I bought this for a specific disassembly problem with a deep countersunk screw which was also quite cold. The driver worked perfectly - the cable is easy to use and the quick release is handy. I was worried about putting a lot of force on the flex bar, but in the end the screwdriver won - the head of the screw flew off completely before the screwdriver broke. Excellent work!

  • Price
Cons
  • Expensive

It may look weird, but it's a good tool!

A colleague, this guy, might taunt you for using that dangling rubber screwdriver. Well, they're dumb as it's pretty useful in a limited industrial setting. Strong enough for you to exert your best efforts - it won't break easily! A nice touch was that it came with a short 1/4 to 1/4 hex bit to allow you to mount your sockets for use in odd places. - Using non-rigid screwdrivers with PH/PZ bits can easily damage the screw - Be careful when applying some force to the bit.

Pros
  • Very good price

ARES screwdrivers made in Taiwan...win! Win!

The screwdriver is as good as any other product I've bought that bears the ARES name. The screwdriver is as flexible as it can be, but there are limitations on the bend height. The bit holder has only one ball bearing to hold the bit. I don't know why they skimped on that and didn't go for 3. Maybe it's a design choice as the torque could be applied if it were rather limited. I love the overall length and despite that I would recommend this screwdriver to anyone looking for one. The product is…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are problems

I was expecting better screwdriver accessories

I wanted to use this flexible screwdriver as the tool I need to replace the mode door actuator on my 2010 Buick Enclave, the actuator is in a very difficult position. and while actually installing the drive is fairly easy, accessing and removing the torx screws is the hardest task (3 screws), I ended up trying to use this "flexible screwdriver" but it didn't help . not as flexible as I expected and ended up having to use another tool. I have no doubts that I will be using this tool for other…
