Cheap, thin, gets the job done.

Cheap flimsy plastic. Nothing fancy, but basically it does the job. Did one of mine break? For some reason I couldn't turn the screw and when it finally moved it snapped. Well, you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Save yourself the headache by networking at home.

These brackets make installing RJ45 connectors much easier. First, the braces themselves take on large dimensions, which you can level with a small spirit level. Also the fact that it's strong/tight in a drywall with pre-drilled holes for mounting boards makes things a lot safer and cleaner. I can't believe I got along without her all these years.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

It fixes the panel to the drywall quite well.

I bought this to use as a GE 87697 (plastic) wall plate mount with a brush when running an HDMI cable in the wall. I had a specific spot I needed that wasn't next to a wall stud. I didn't think it appropriate to install an HDMI keystone plate at this point like I have at others. Regardless, installation was pretty easy with a drywall saw. The panel is securely attached to the wall and we have not experienced any slipping. In general a good product.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative present

Good product! - Electrical Boxes, Wiring and Fittings

This single mounting bracket is ideal for retrofit installation. I wanted to run Cat 5e on my workbench in the garage for internet access.1. Trace where you want to place the box on the wall (make sure there are no electricity or studs on the back) 2. Cut drywall 3. Insert bracket 4. Tighten screws.5. Add a faceplate of your choice. The entire installation took me less than 5 minutes. I only wish cable routing was that easy! I would definitely recommend this item to friends or family. Goodโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

The holes for attaching the pads do not match the screws

The holes on the bracket for attaching the pad do not match the threads of the standard screws that come with the pads. I managed to get it working, but I'm concerned that removing the cover might render the screws unusable. This may be a single failure, but I had to use quite a bit of force to get the screws into the holes and one of the screw heads slipped off several times, partially damaging the screw head. Screws of this type should go in easily.

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive

It worked in an installation but the feel was weak and too flexible. The pawls are a nice size and tighten easily, but there are no stops to prevent the pawls from returning into the working hole before they are tightened. Not too bad as I could still stretch out and hold the pawls until they started grabbing the drywall, but it was definitely a little more fiddly to install around the pre-stretched wires. Very long screws and stops for thick walls (plaster I guess), but just too long forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Plenty of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

Ideal for low voltage feedthroughs

Bought several of these to tidy up my wall mounted TVs. I was sad to learn they didn't come with a template, but I quickly fixed that by cutting a template for them out of cardboard. Then I realized that all I really needed was a 3.5โ€ณ and 2.25โ€ณ high rectangular hole in the wall to install them. To install these bad boys, find a spot on the wall, mark the 3.5 x 2.25 box and very carefully cut it with a hacksaw. Insert them, tighten the screws and you're done. (PRO TIP: I like to use a spiritโ€ฆ

Life is better with this product

I wanted to run my home theater cables through the walls and ceiling which required pre-made speaker connections. This bracket was perfect for cutting at various points on the ceiling and walls and then adding a single panel for the connectors, which allowed me to connect the speakers with banana plugs for a short time. There is no particular need for a single junction box as the entire installation is low voltage. Anyone with basic carpentry skills should be able to do this job fairly easilyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
