Description of Armacost Lighting 223812 Gimball Recessed

Sturdy, all-metal design is suitable for dry and damp locations. Lights can be installed individually, linked together, or combined with other Armacost LED lighting in the same circuit. Soft-start and fade-to-dark dimming is possible with any standard, in-wall AC dimmer when used with Armacost Lighting’s Universal Dimming LED drivers. Requires a 12-volt or 24-volt DC power supply. Each light uses just 8 watts.

Not Worth the Hassle

Based on our own experience, we found this lighting component to be frustrating to install and lacking in quality. The only positive is its sleek appearance but its not enough to outweigh the negatives. The wiring is difficult to manipulate and the instructions are poorly written. Overall, we would not recommend this product to others..

Pros
  • Bright and adjustable lighting
Cons
  • Difficult to install for unfamiliar users

Bright and Versatile Recessed Light

According to my experience the Armcast Lighting Gimball Recessed is an excellent choice for any lighting project. The adjustable angle allows for customizing the direction of the light, and the bright LEDs provide ample illumination. The installation process is straightforward and quick. However, the only downside is that some users may find it difficult to position the light correctly. .

Pros
  • Adjustable lighting direction for precise illumination
Cons
  • Requires specialized installation and may be difficult for some users to install.

These bulbs/lights should use a type of pulse width modulation when flickering to create a high speed strobing effect. It's hard to see when you're not moving, but if you run your hand through the beam of light you'll get the strobing effect of these lights. Color temperature appears close to 4000K, perhaps a little hotter but not bluish, and pan and focus functions work well. These lights also cast fairly harsh shadows from objects in the light path due to the focused (point light like) lens…

Pros
  • Rugged all-metal construction, suitable for dry and wet environments. I'll add
Cons
  • later.
