Crap. The thread is so small you can't even screw it into drywall. I hammered one in like a nail, but it's unstable. Gave them back. That's what I get when I try to save money on hardware.

I have used these to screw into a 4x4 on my deck to hang outside lights and they are great for that purpose. I'm sure I can find other places to use and I like that they're coated white so they look a little bit classier than just metal.

I am adding these to my cabinets to free up space in my new coffee shop. It's a little tedious, but they screw in well by hand without tools. I was concerned about possible damage to the new cabinets but had no problems at all. They feel sturdy so I don't have to worry about dishes breaking under hanging cups. The handles on the mugs attach easily to the hooks - I didn't have to bend the hooks as some others have mentioned. Great space saver, love them!
