Backpack space is very important when you are a systems engineer or architect. Pencils are usually carried in Tuperware because you simply can't find a pencil case that fits pencils or mechanical pencils. They're either thick for elementary school or too long like this product. I have a pair of Jet Blacks and I really like them. They are quite long, so you can store long brushes in them for painting. They have 3 compartments for individual items. There is thick foam at one end to protect pencil/pen tips. The lid closes to keep separate items from rolling into other compartments no matter how they are tipped/carried/stored. The two clasps are easy to open/close and hold perfectly in place. The plastic is of good quality and looks very nice in the charcoal colored boxes

This is an AWESOME pencil case. It's thin, durable and not big. You can easily fit a variety of pencils/pens/markers in it to cover any need you might have in the classroom, at home or in the office. I always felt that traditional pencil cases were too big. for my needs. If you feel the same way, then this is the option for you!
