Broken part best for oil filter

Broken part. I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I installed this part and oil was leaking everywhere. Took the car apart a second time to make sure everything was installed correctly and it was. We keep collecting oil everywhere. Took it apart a third time, replaced all the gaskets on my original radiator (1 of which was leaking) and reinstalled it on the jeep with no leaks or problems. Therefore, I would like to start by simply replacing the old seals on my series cooler. I'll try to get my moneyโ€ฆ

Oil and coolant leaks.

I wish I could take a picture but after all the work of removing the original part and installing this part my mechanic was already disappointed with this part only to find that the Oil cooler still leaking coolant and oil. I read reviews, bought rubber seals for it at the Autozone ($33) and it's still flowing. I sent the part back to Revain and bought the original part from the dealer ($300) + and $300 labor from my mechanic for all the extra work and headaches. Do yourself a favor with aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing here

Was hoping this part would work but didn't

Bought for a 2011 Dodge Avenger 3.6L Pentastar. I had the same problem as many other reviews but I decided to give it a try. The downcomer that was supposed to go to the top of the block was too big in diameter. I didn't want to try to grind or file it and certainly didn't want to force it as I'm sure the o-ring would go bad. It's a lot of work and I didn't want to risk it. I got a newer version from the dealer that fit without any problems. Note. The OEM version of the Gen 2 oil cooler follows

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Do not buy. Inaccurate part

This part does not match the description. It should fit the same as the original part, but it doesn't. The oil line to the engine is too large in diameter and as other buyers have explained regarding the pipe grinding I had to do the same. Also, the end of the coolant nozzle on the back of the part is too rounded for the rubber hose and clamp to fit through the nozzle. I also had to grind the end of the injector because there is no gap between the hose mounted clamp and the oil pressure gaugeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Reliability

why are people complaining about this great oil cooler

amazon saved me again this part is reliable i just fitted it no warning lights everything is ok no leaks i tried to fix the old one by changing the gaskets and it didn't work the first time every time so be it a mechanic it was awful to see all the coolant coming out in a 5 minute drive. I was lucky that my friend Hector, the mechanic, told me he was sure the oil cooler was the problem. I was worried the Amazon part wouldn't work so I was glad I took the risk. I'm on my way again, buying thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • permanent test results

UPGRADE GASKETS WITH THIS OIL COOLER

I got this for a 2012 Jeep Wranger. and spend HOURS installing it only to later find a coolant leak. Pulled everything back and inspected the oil cooler to see the gasket that came with the block was almost flush with the block. I decided to purchase an aftermarket gasket kit from AdvanceAuto, the "MAHLE OIL COOLER KIT" ($14.79) and compared the gasket height to the gasket that came with the gasket I bought here at Revain. AA's poetry was much higher than Revane's. Re-done the setup and so farโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some issues

Good price - filter

Item came with everything listed and was well packaged, all sensor extensions were individually wrapped and boxed. Considering the OEM prices on my 2011 Jeep, that's silly. , I thought I struck gold at $85. (The OEM oil filter housing is the same as this one. Both are plastic. That's an argument for another day. Why on earth would Chrysler put a plastic oil filter/radiator on an aluminum engine.) Anyway, me just left work and was on a fairly busy road during rush hour when my oil light came on.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions
