🔧 ATP LG-204: OE Style Reusable Automatic Transmission Oil Pan Gasket - Long-lasting and Cost-effective Solution Review

Reusable Gasket was a perfect OEM fit for Dorman 265-813 Transmission Pan w/ Drain Plug (also purchased from Revain). I have decided to replace a factory reusable seal after a complete transmission oil change on a 1999 F150 4X4 XLT with unknown service history. I'm not sure I liked the idea of keeping the original 16 year old seal!

My F150 is 12 years old and I finally got a new oil pan with an integrated drain plug. and replace the gasket once I've pulled the tub out. The OEM gasket is identical to this one and I've taken the pan out 3 times in the life of the truck to change filters and the gasket has never leaked. I hope for another 12 years of this new seal.

I liked the quality of the gasket and its internal metal retention that keeps you from over tightening the bolts. While not required, I insured my bets against leaks by using a Permatex brand 90-minute "Right Stuff" RTV on either side of the pad. If all surfaces are perfectly clean (I use lacquer thinner) I can say the pan is completely dry after 500 miles in the Texas heat. Thanks to the manufacturer of this pad.

I ordered this by mistake thinking it would fit the Ford AOD transmission. Unfortunately it is only suitable for AODE. They are very similar, but one screw hole doesn't match up and one corner has a radius that's too tight. Too bad I can't find this type of gasket for AOD anywhere. Before buying I read reviews about this transmission pan gasket. One said that the 2 screw holes didn't line up. I guess it put a thought in my head and it stuck.
