I like the hexagonal shape of this ice cream maker. I usually buy a bag of lemon, squeeze all the juice and put it in here for convenience. The material is soft so the ice pops out easily but the lid doesn't stay in place which is annoying because I don't want my lemon icicles to taste like a freezer :( I might try to 2/ 3 to fill next time full. times.

I've bought several variations of this type of ice cube tray and this is by far the worst option (personal opinion). The material is very weak, having torn after an ice cube got stuck and ripped open the sides. Also, mine turned out to be defective as one had a hole in it (just enough to let the water out before it freezes). The lid is also plastic, not silicone, so it broke in half when I tried to take it off. Save yourself and pay a dollar or two more.

I bought these as a mold to melt wax and I think they are good for that purpose, easy to clean and remove the melted Grow back as they harden. The lids provided do not fit the top of the mold. They just fall away. So if you want to use them I would say they are useless. They also don't last very long, so you'll probably have a hard time putting them in the freezer without spilling water all over them. I wax them and then let them cure on a flat surface, so that's not a problem for me.

I need to check the ice cube trays! Most trays have a small cut-out so that if one cube overflows, the water will overflow into the next, and so on. It doesn't, it just spills over the side and onto the floor. Then when the tray is full it is too fragile to put in the freezer so you spill more water. But wait, the fun doesn't end here. Once the ice cream is ready to eat it can't be taken out of the bowl so now just drop the ice cream on the floor and the cat will decide it will make a great toy

They weren't as easy to use as I had hoped. I'm used to cheap ice trays that you twist and toss and all the ice cubes fall out. With these silicone trays, you have to push each individual ice cube out of the tray. My hands started to ache from the cold before I even finished trying to fill the ice bucket. I really like the hex cubes. Most freeze very clearly. I have to carry them to the freezer in a stack on a makeshift cardboard tray. Even with the lid closed they're a bit thin to avoid spilling in transit, but the tray keeps me from spilling a drop. It's not as simple as a simple twist to push the cubes out.
