1/8 NPT probe not suitable.

What they don't tell you is that you have to buy a short shipment to use it. Waste of money, spent $30 on fittings to install a $65 gauge.

Hard-wearing and high-quality

M12x1.5 thread. It fits my 2JZ coolant neck to fit a 1/8 NPT AEM temp sensor. Comes with a crush washer and the brass is thicker than the aluminum on other sides.

Pros
  • Good things
Cons
  • So far so good

Doesn't work best in probes

Had to drill it out to fit the probe and then it broke. Luckily I managed to get him out. I ended up plugging the hole in block 5.3 and installing the sensor in the water pump.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • Secret

I had to redo it to make it work.

From what I've read in other reviews the center hole is too small for a probe to fit through. This contradicts the advertised text. I had to pierce it to get it working. Sometimes you just have to be content with what you have.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not bad

Only works with "short " transmitter

You should only use this with the AutoMeter 2259. The hole in the adapter is not big enough to accept the regular water transmitter block. Bought, widened the hole with a drill and immediately broke off in the engine. I spent the rest of the day pulling the threads out. If you drill a hole, you become dangerously thin. However, I am concerned that the 2259 "flat" transmitter unit is not giving me accurate readings. It is not directly in the path of the water jacket. Doesn't matter? I do not…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Compatibility

Just what I need to get my sensor working.

Fitting the head of my 5.3 LS to my 1969 Chevy truck. I didn't have any issues with it breaking as stated by other reviews. . I was careful not to overtighten and it works fine. . . I also contacted Auto Meter and asked about unsuitable senders. . I think there are two sizes, this one works well with 2259 "that's what I do". However, this does not work with transmitters that come with automatic counter sensors when purchased. . I have no idea why they did it but if you buy it from 2259 it will…

Pros
  • handy piece
Cons
  • concise manual
