Good product for using the Wii in a new HDTV

I bought a Wii over 10 years ago. I recently wanted to play Wii Sports and found that the component cables weren't working with my Samsung 6 Series HDTV. No video signal after connecting the component cable adapter that came with the Samsung TV. This Wii2HDMI adapter is exactly what I'm looking for. Image quality is good. However, it is 480p as you can see in the picture. It doesn't update to 1080p.

Aha! Playing the Original Wii on New TVs

Covid19! Thanks for getting me to take apart my dusty Nintendo Wii for my 6 year old. He's not going to school indefinitely, so he needed something to keep him entertained. When I was ready to connect my Wii to my TV, I noticed that my TV only has HDMI slots. Well this adapter helped me a lot as it fits like a glove. Just plug the adapter into the back of your Wii, plug in the HDMI connectors on each side, and you're done. It also comes with a set of HDMI cables, but I didn't try it as I…

It works as promised!

I was a bit skeptical about this purchase as I've been dying for this stuff many times before, but it is exactly what was promised, both audio and video components! Simply disconnect and plug your existing Wii component or composite cable into this port, then connect to any HDMI device. It's only 480p or 480i resolution, of course, because that's all the Wii offers, but for this type of game it looks ok, the cable doesn't change the resolution in any way. I wanted my Wii to be connected to a…

Works well. to 480i

I bought this to reduce the number of cables going to the Onkyo TX-NR686 receiver. After connecting the device to the Wii and an HDMI cable to the appropriate input on my receiver, I got picture and sound straight away. However, when I switched the Wii's output to 480p, the image kept flickering. I've tried swapping out the included HDMI cable for a known working one, but that didn't fix the issue. I ended up connecting my existing Monoprice Wii component cables directly to my TV (Sony…
