Works very well. Found it a bit clunky at first but now that it's set up it's great. What I really like is that it turns itself on and off. However, do not turn it off when your system is in sleep mode. It logs that it was improperly disabled. All in all the best buy in terms of storage capacity and price!

Connected 4GB memory to my PS4 Slim and not working. PS4 does not recognize it as a USB mass storage device and does not recognize the external hard drive at all. The device is clearly defective and must be returned. EDITI sent the 1st hard drive as it was dead on arrival. You paid for the shipping label. Got my second and it works perfectly. I ordered the hard drive shown in the product image. I have shown the hard drive in my picture. The problem is that I had the one in my picture before and he died less than a year later. I decided to try a new model from the same brand. If this one fails in a few years or so I will never trust the brand again. I'll rate it a 3 because the cable broke in the first month 3.1 or higher because everywhere I look it's not there and I can can't find a working one, they sent me a type-c to type-c cable and i still can't get one that works and i can't get access to the game it's now uploading to it. I have to say I am very happy with this purchase. It's definitely beefy, but so perfect because I love how it feels like a PS4 baby to my PS4. For a long time I had doubts about the purchase. I'm a big gamer and have personally upgraded my PS4 to a 2TB system. So the PS5's 825GB storage was a HUGE disappointment.
