I ordered these to replace aging transom straps for my boat and boat trailer. Upon arrival i noticed that the hooks are less substantial than the set i was replacing (hooks on new straps are thinner). The strap itself feels like smooth seatbelt material which concerned me a little bit because the cam bar was smooth and had no knurling to grip the strap. The tie down becomes slightly loose after towing my boat 120 miles to my fishing spot , again driving back home it became slightly loose. I don't get a sense of total security. It never happened to the previous tie down that I had for 2 years but its locking metal created scratch marks on the the boat, the reason I bought this new one. If it continues to become loose while towing the boat, I will look for another one, maybe pay a bit more for better quality. The total security is more important

This tie down is perfect. It is sturdy, easy to buckle down and the extra fabric protection and velcro closure protects the finish of my boat. This one gets 5 stars!

I think this is a well designed product. The hooks have spring loaded keepers so they stay connected even before there's tension, but the buckle system is simple and winches down the tension flawlessly. On my little boat I fold the tag ends of the webbing over twice and tuck them away with the velcro strap.

I use this product to strap down the backend of my snowmobile on the trailer. These straps are easy to use, easy to adjust and they hold tight where you set them.

My rating is more because of the misleading description than a knock of the product. They're easy to use and an OK tie down strap, but the description says "ratchet". These don't ratchet. They're a decent functional strap if this style is what you want. If you want a strap that ratchets, don't order these.

Great product! We used it to transport a kayak over hilly terrain and highways. No stretch at all. I liked that the straps come with Velcro pieces to secure the extra webbing, as well as the coated clips and protection material behind the buckles to protect the paint on your vehicle.

These straps work perfectly for securing my 18 Ft boat to the trailer. I recently transported my boat by trailer over 100 miles and these straps never slipped or loosened up in any way. I really like the Velcro used to keep the excess stored during use. I also like the end of the strap that has a spring loaded detention system not allowing the clip to come undone. A+ is my review.
