🌊 Barker 24130 3" Auto Drain: Efficient Water Removal for Hassle-Free Maintenance Review

This was a direct replacement for my 2005 Calabria Pure Vert Ballast Gate Actuator. It fits and works just like the old one. As per the other review linked here, I didn't need the white/yellow 4-wire pair in the kit. We opened up the old actuator, verified correct polarity and tested before completing the installation. Having two people present for the final opening/closing was critical as the actuator would yaw if not allowed to reach the full end of travel. I didn't need a switch or fuse.

To use it, I was able to open the plastic case on both the new and the old device. And I decided I didn't need white or yellow wires on the new gates (the old ones only had two wires). I have replaced three failed Drain Master electrovalves in the last five years. One of them only lasted 17 months of continuous use on wheels. Time will tell if the Barker Auto Drain is any more reliable. Barker automatic traps are user serviceable and all replacement parts are available from Barker.
