Holds paint well for brushes

I use the brush loading method, dipping the brush about 1/3 into the paint, then taking the brush out of the paint and gently tapping each side of the Brush on the inside of the container with paint before completely removing the brush to start painting. This Bates brush holds a lot of paint without drips using this method. Excellent value for money and quality!

Suitable for simple projects

That's good! Very soft brushes, they don't seem to pick up too much color but spread easily. It's good for a few uses for small projects like painting an old table or repainting some shelves. I'm just saying that because they lost a few threads, not much, but that's not something to concern yourself with if you use them professionally.

Good price.: Brush

Satisfied with the cost and quality of the brush. I needed an inexpensive solution to an oil based primer but didn't want to use acrylic/latex brushes. This pair of brushes will get the job done. In my opinion better quality than what you get in the port when it comes to cheap brushes. The handles are bare wood but I plan to use polyurethane to protect them, cost depends. Update: I used oil based brushes and then cleaned them with mineral spirits. Both held their shape and were easy to clean.

Better than a cheap brush but not quite the best

Overall these brushes were good, the brushes were better than the cheap kits or brushes from my local hardware stores. But I just couldn't match the opacity and application of my Purdy brushes. And it's generally harder to clean than my Purdy brushes. This is the main reason I took off 2 stars for ease of cleaning. Also, my Purdy brushes are over a year old and outperform these new brushes in every way. Overall good value for money but still slightly better than regular brushes. That's why I…

Great brush! good for painting, finishing walls and accessories

I paint houses for a living. Over the weekend I painted the townhouse with a 2 1/2 inch angle brush. This did an amazing job! I would easily compare it to the $15 Purdy brush. The bristles felt stiff as if they would splatter paint, but surprisingly they held the paint pretty well and didn't splatter at all. The brush line drawing came out nice and light, covered well and held the color. It was very easy to clean, have used it for several rooms and different colors. Also a great cut! Very tight

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other pickaxes

Lots of brushes twice for very little

I have never bought brushes and bought them to paint scratched countertop paint. What struck me was how cheap these brushes are, under $4, and yet they are real brushes, not toys. Maybe the brushes are just cheap, but the size of this product and the level of detail it takes to affix hundreds of hairs, even with a robot, seems like it should cost more to manufacture. You also get two brushes. I have no idea when to use any. I couldn't easily remove the polish from the brush hairs. Or from my…
