I have a platform bed and a lot of bedspreads just don't have a decent drape but this bedspread does. It's a bit heavier than I expected, but it's better made, so I'll brace myself for that. Looks so pretty and is very well made. It had a lot of rough chenille (which is common, and I expected that), so I recommend doing what I did: let it go in the washing machine for 5 full heavy cycles, then tumble dry for at least that many Cycles in the dryer to ensure the lint trap is empty. about every 20-30 minutes.

Okay yes it sheds big fluffy fibers at first. I took it out of the box and ran it through the laundry and my lint filter looked like a sheep had exploded. I shook it out over my porch and it was a winter wonderland of soft white floating pieces of yarn, but it made the birds very happy as they built nests. Eventually and with use it stops. It's nice and light, doesn't overheat. I sleep well, so that's the most important thing for me.
