We ALL love this bedspread

I have a platform bed and a lot of bedspreads just don't have a decent drape but this bedspread does. It's a bit heavier than I expected, but it's better made, so I'll brace myself for that. It washes very well, there was a slight smell when unpacking it, but after washing it went away. And Shadow helped me look at it <G>!

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

Looks so pretty and is very well made. It had a lot of rough chenille (which is common, and I expected that), so I recommend doing what I did: let it go in the washing machine for 5 full heavy cycles, then tumble dry for at least that many Cycles in the dryer to ensure the lint trap is empty. about every 20-30 minutes.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No color required

Fells like a yeti at first but very pretty and perfect for summer

Okay yes it sheds big fluffy fibers at first. I took it out of the box and ran it through the laundry and my lint filter looked like a sheep had exploded. I shook it out over my porch and it was a winter wonderland of soft white floating pieces of yarn, but it made the birds very happy as they built nests. Eventually and with use it stops. It's nice and light, doesn't overheat. I sleep well, so that's the most important thing for me.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • No insurance

Reminiscent of childhood

Today I got a chenille reference. It reminds me of all the nights I spent with my aunt and grandma in big old creaky beds with crisp cotton sheets and soft fluffy chenille bedspreads. I have a queen captain's bed with a very thick mattress and pad. This means I'll never know if bedspreads and duvets are big enough until I try them (I've learned not to fully trust package sizes), but once I placed the bedspread on the bed it was perfect - it is wide enough to the floor Use a regular bed frame…

Pros
  • Looks beautiful
Cons
  • Almost everything is included

Well done, the threads don't get lost, perfect!

After reading the reviews I decided to take the size king size, the fabric is enough to pull the cover over the pillows and not to use pads. I don't know about you, but I like the look of pillows (like the old days) with no pads. I have an 18th century mahogany bed with a canopy and a beautiful headboard. And now she looks very good without overlays. I rinsed the spread (very gently) and dried it twice on low speed, cleaning the lint filter each time. Then I dried it once on normal/medium speed

Pros
  • Feels good
