Worked great until IOS 8.1.3 fried it.

Cable worked great. Up to iOS 8.1.3. I used this cable to charge my iPad and iPhone 5s for exactly one month. I received it on 12/31/14 and it worked fine until Monday evening (2/2/15) when I connected my iPhone and installed iOS 8.1.3 on it. When I plugged in the phone, it was charging through the cable. I cut the plastic with a office knife. I was then able to connect it but had to balance the phone perfectly because if the cable was too far it wouldn't charge and if it was too far it wouldn't charge. The second cable worked great. A week long. Then it stopped…
