Garbage. Fell apart prior to installation

I loosened the bolts holding the hot and neutral wire only to have the inner nut fall into the block. Now the bolts have nothing to screw in and the nuts just loosened up inside. Now I'm wondering if they will cause a short circuit and ruin the device.
