Description of Enhance Raspberry Pi Printing Experience: BIGTREETECH Compatible Firmware Unleashed

🐙【Main Control Chip】Uses a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 series STM32F446ZET6 main control chip with a core frequency of 180MHz. 🐙【Strong DIY Support】This motherboard supports up to 8 stepper drivers with 9 stepper driver outputs in total; And up to 6 PWM fans and 2 always-on fans with the ability to individually select the voltage rail that will drive each fan. Select from Vin, 12V or 5V. 🐙【Motherboard Expansion Function】Support BLTouch, locked-rotor detection, shutdown after printing, resume printing after power failure, CAN bus, U disk function, IIC expansion; at the same time reserved WIFI interface, PT100 thermistor interface (optional), dual Z-axis printer. 🐙【TMC2209 Driver Features】The TMC2209 stepper driver is not easy to lose steps and is in an ultra-quiet mode; the module has a large area of heat dissipation pad, which can reduce the temperature of the driver when it is working; the module supports three modes: STEP / DIR and UART. 🐙【TMC2209 Driver Mode】TMC Motor drivers can be used in SPI or UART mode by simply adjusting the onboard jumpers beneath each motor driver. Additionally you can connect or disconnect the TMC DIAG pin using an onboard jumper allowing you to use hard endstops or sensorless homing without the need to cut any pins.

"Revolutionized my 3D printing experience

The BIGTREETECH compatible firmware for Raspberry printing has truly transformed the way I approach 3D printing. My analysis of this product showed that it significantly reduces the occurrence of printing errors and, coupled with its speedy processing ability, creates consistently high-quality prints that exceed my expectations. The interface is user-friendly, making it easy to customize and perfect printing parameters. The only downside is that it requires a basic technical knowledge, so it…

Pros
  • Easy to install and use with a Raspberry Pi
Cons
  • Requires additional hardware to be purchased for compatibility

Defect in design, be careful with pt100

Seems normal for BTT. They walk alternate versions of iron and break something. In this version, the Spi pinout for the drivers is so bad that simply plugging in a pt100 flash drive renders the board practically dead. Not only can it not read an spi from a pt100 flash drive, but it also cannot communicate with drivers via uart afterwards. I'm a little confused how btt tests the hardware, do they test the hardware based on the manuals they write? I would say wait until version 1.2 when they fix…

  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Big and bulky

THE MOST DIFFICULT JUMPS THAT EVER HAPPENED!

Stepper Motor Driver Jumper Replacement - Stinks! If you love wrestling then this board is perfect. Otherwise, this board was the biggest problem for stepper jumpers. There are so many jumper wires in each section that I would stick the jumper on a pin below it about a million times. And the jumpers they supply are crappy and the size of a molecule. Maybe it's just me, but I've never had to "fight" with sweaters. But I'm used to higher jumpers. Things disappear if you're unlucky enough to drop…
