I had a B&D single source 18V battery that wouldn't charge. I wasn't sure if it was the battery or the charger. My multimeter showed it was the charger, so I gave it a try. It worked great and my battery charged with no issues. The green charging light should go off when charging is complete, but that doesn't happen with my device. never mind

I used this charger on my old model Black Deck Drill (Red/Orange). It is different from other chargers as it is lightweight and can be connected to a battery. The battery was recharged, which made me very happy and pleased. I bought another multi volt charger from stores but had to return it as it didn't fit even though the person at Home Depot said so. It only costs $14.95 compared to others that cost over $50. I've had it for about two months now.

I have a 2007 Black and Decker CDC 1440 Type 1 cordless drill and three batteries. I bought it at a flea market and it came with three batteries and a charger. The old charger failed so I recently bought this charger. As described, it is very small. It has a green light and is easy to use. However, there are two problems with this charger: it only seems to work with 2007 or newer batteries, and when you charge a slightly dead battery, the green light goes out after 6.5 hours.
