Bloch Dance Canvas Ballet Slipper Review

Stupidly, how lucky I was when I bought a pair of flats that were closer to my skin than the theater pink ones. They look and feel great. I have odd shaped feet (wider than a typical toe and narrower than a typical heel) and they fit perfectly. I wear them around the house because what ex-dancers don't do random warm-ups while doing chores? such a nice foot shape I wasn't sure how I felt about a squarer toe but that's silly - it works.

The shoes have a wide elastic band and no loops. There was a bow in the kit, not a wide elastic at the top of the shoe. The rubber band that wraps around the back of the foot is also not sewn on. We have ordered the same pair 3 times hoping the correct one will be delivered and still not. It is not what is shown in the photo. We're going straight to Bloch and hopefully get the right shoes.

I've worn them my whole career, to be honest I haven't found a more comfortable and beautiful silhouette on the leg. I recommend it to anyone who wants to make the most beautiful lines.

I simply measured from toe to heel without rotating the ruler 90 degrees without twisting and ordered that size. Ordered the wide version even though my feet are not very wide. If you have very wide feet, consider going 0.5 or 1 size larger than this method I've outlined here.

I needed ballet flats for an adult display case. What I didn't understand is that the elastic has to be sewn on after delivery.

It would have been perfect but the elastic was not sewn to the slippers. Feel like I was given the job of sewing it. If I didn't miss the memo. who knows

Great fit but make sure you understand all sizes are mens = they will be oversized if you order your normal womens size. The toe of the shoe is higher than usual on women's shoes, which can accentuate the downward slant of your toes a little more, but my daughter was uncomfortable with that. The canvas also didn't feel particularly stretchy to fit around the foot and arch, but maybe that would be hard to tell because they were too big? We will return these.
