I bought this because I'm a big guy and the armrest of my last chair was plastic and after 5 years it finally gave up. I say that because the important parts in this chair are steel and not plastic! EDIT: I decided it was a very bad purchase/chair. Not only is the chair too low in the highest position, but after about a week of use it started to wobble and your body/skin couldn't breathe on contact with the chair's surface.
