Size description fits fittings

I ordered 6" to make a 6" semi-rigid flexible duct to connect the built in duct to the fan. Too small, literally 6 inches as noted by another reviewer (review came after I ordered mine). Had I known that I would have ordered the size 8" instead. It would be fine, probably for a 5" diameter duct or less. I don't know if I'll be returning them or just for some unknown future use For my current needs, I had to make a trip to a big store and buy 5-7" clamps, which worked fine.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Lots of threads suitable for hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing

I bought this clamp to fix a rattling catalytic converter heat shield. I was hoping the thread would be long enough to reach deep enough. I didn't measure my transducer at first, but I thought it was 6" to 8" in diameter. If this clip is 24 inches long, I'll cut off about 6 inches when I'm done. There were many more threads that could be used if I needed them. A quick estimate will be 50% thread. In theory, you can easily clamp between 4 and 8 inches.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Drill kit

Accurately 8 " for hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing

I have used adjustable air duct clamps for many years. I've never come across a clamp that doesn't have a little play to allow you to run it and slide it over the vent tube you're trying to secure. There was no more than 8 1/8 inches around. Usually start by attaching it to the vent pipe you wish to repair. 8" vent hole to tighten. I had to open the flexible hose all the way, then try to hold the two pieces close enough together with one hand, then try to guide it with the other hand. Once I…
