For plaster, use this and NOT the cut-off wheel.

I had to cut through the plaster to reduce plaster dust. Dust was minimal. They also cut well through metal plaster grids. I've tried it with a cutting disc. The boy wasn't so dusty. A smoke alarm went off in the hallway.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Solid product Best in Blades

I like them a lot more than Milwaukee's "Torch" product. They seem to last a lot longer as long as you hold them straight. They seem to bend easier than Milwaukee or Freud (narrower notch maybe?), so beware of sticking them in things. Mine were marked as Swiss.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative score available

Very thin, easy to bend, and short lived

These blades would be great if you're cutting aluminum, but even cutting small screws on a cat isn't that good. The bend is easy not very thick to withstand and the teeth wear out quickly. I shortened the bolts by 10mm on impact with the blades. So thin that it bends easily. Not happy to be honest. I thought Bosch meant more, but for the money it's not worth it.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

I bought these saw blades to cut 2.5" and 2.25" stainless steel exhaust pipes. One blade lasted 12-15 cuts before it became too dull and I had to replace it with the next one. On average it will be 15-20 cents per cut if my math isn't too far off. Before it got dull it cut really well and didn't break or anything.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Lightly chipped

Wow, perfect for cast iron

I had to cut a piece out of 4 inch cast iron pipe. I thought it would be very difficult to cut through thick metal. This saber saw blade surprised me at how easily it cuts through metal. It almost cut through with the weight of the saw - it took just the slightest bit of pressure from me. The blade still cuts great after two full cuts, so it's clearly durable for cast iron.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

These blades dulled very quickly, were much thinner, and tended to warp.

I assembled these with 8" Dewalt SWA4188 metal cutting blades and these Bosch blades didn't last. Same metal, same saw, same cutting fluid. These blades dulled very quickly, were much thinner and tended to bend. Me used about 3-4 Bosch blades per Dewalt blade for the same saw, depth of cut and material, for a few bucks more you go to Dewalts

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Clarity

G0t 'R Dun good for Blades

We moved into an old house with a 40ft aluminum pole to hang a TV antenna from and two aluminum poles for hanging laundry. Given that we are now in the 21st century, they were not necessary. My plan was to remove the poles, cut them into appropriately sized pieces and send them for recycling. They were big, thick aluminum poles. These blades cut almost like warm butter and I got the job done in no time. That made the job very easy. The only criticism was the durability. After a few cuts I had…

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • It's OK

and it's the perfect combination for cutting metal

So we paired this with our saber saw and it's the perfect combination for cutting metal. Anything over a certain size may require the metal to be clamped with a vise or similar. - ALWAYS wear safety goggles during use as small pieces of metal may fly out when using these blades outdoors. - USE CLAMPS when using. If your metal part is loose, chances are your saw is all over the place during use. - When it fits perfectly, it locks well and unlocks easily. - The quality is very good and I am still

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Protection

Well done and works great!

Purchased to fell a metal basketball post embedded in concrete. Cut off the top half very quickly and I was really impressed. I went to cut just below ground level and after a few seconds the blades started to smoke very heavily. I tried again on a different part of the bar with the same results. I changed the blades and the same. Then I realized that when sinking the bar I had also filled the hole with concrete about 18 inches - the blades went through the metal and hit the hard concrete - not

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some imperfections
