Perfect fit for my 2007 Toyota Sienna

I looked on YouTube and saw how easy it is to swap out parts. With the help of my wife it took 5 minutes. Now the gate is very easy to open, but not so easy to close. All in all a very good product!

Cons
  • Not bad but...

Revainrating 3 out of 5

shorter than the original factory lifts

extended length is a full inch shorter (24.5 vs 25.5) than my original so the gate now doesn't rise high enough to walk under without hitting your head! I'm a contractor who converted a 2005 Toyota Sienna van into a work vehicle and needs to keep the gate open all day to access tools and supplies.

Cons
  • compatibility

Worked well and at a good price

Parts work very well they are easy to install. The clips holding them in place were a little tricky. Some of them moved sideways a little as they tried to get her in place. I only needed a pair of pliers to place it in the right place. Relatively easy to assemble and the tailgate works perfectly again. So far I'm very happy with them.

Cons
  • I don't really like anything everything is fine

Good product, easy to install, very hard (difficult to close)

This product arrived as described and installed easily with no problems. I mounted them on the tailgate of my Toyota Sienna (2006). It should be noted that they are very rigid. I find it difficult to close the hatch, let alone my wife who is much smaller. I wouldn't say that's a downside, you just have to be aware of it.

Cons
  • Minor problems

Easy installation. Suitable for tailgate without electric drive.

It took me a little longer than the 5 minutes people were talking about simply because I misunderstood the instructions. I removed the clip from the new one and couldn't fit it properly so I had to use another good shock absorber. I installed a shock absorber and now it closes and opens correctly. I keep the second one in the trunk in case something goes wrong. $20 is a great price for these items!

It went too easy - replacement parts

They were very easy to use, so easy I was afraid they would stick. So far, so good. Unlike some reviewers, I don't think they open the door too quickly. Closing the door is a little tricky, but I had no trouble closing it. But I'm a big man, used to physical labor, so maybe I have more size and strength to help me than some. I think that's all I wanted to say for now. If they suddenly bounce or fail, I will definitely update.

Cons
  • communication with seller

Damper, strut and suspension kit saved

Wow! These manual stands really have the power to open; Therefore, make sure that the tailgate does not catch on your chin when opening the sunroof for the first time. Others complained about difficulties closing the tailgate. I'm not a tall woman, only 5 feet in my 60s, about a hundred pounds. Yes. It took a little more effort to close but nothing would stop me recommending these racks. With the ladder as another handle, I replaced the posts in less than ten minutes. Now I'll wait and see how…

Cons
  • Hard to say

Fairly good - a bit harsh

Works well so far on our 2009 Sienna. The only issue I had during installation was that the props extended too far (either that or the van's sunroof didn't go up 100% of the time). As a result, it was very difficult to attach - I had to use all my strength to lift the hatch with one hand and try to snap the prop into place with the other hand. It would be easier if they helped me, but I ended up doing it myself. As others have pointed out, these mounts are pretty stiff, so the legitimate option
