product fits perfectly and works great. My old struts didn't hold the tailgate in cool weather. It stopped me from banging my head. They are great for the 2008 Ford Edge.

Immediately after installation (that's a 2 person job!) I've noticed a difference in the opening height of my up and over door on my 2008. Pretty easy setup and it's great to know I won't be hitting my head nearly as much as I'm used to from older OEMs.

Just replace the tailgate stays on my 2011 Ford Edge. Strong enough to easily support the door. Just do ONE PAGE PER TIME and have someone hold the tailgate while you switch them, otherwise the tailgate will be pretty heavy! 10 minutes work, just need a small screwdriver.

These racks are a huge improvement over the worn 2007 OEM originals. Installed it in about 5 minutes and raised the gate fully and with good control after the starting boost. If they last as long as the OEMs then they get 5 stars. Very satisfied after 3 weeks.

Replaced Jan 2019 now June 2020. Worked great all along, cost money and tiny hassle to replace (very easy). However, I recently noticed that the lower part of the pipe is covered with rust. Not sure where from and still doesn't affect performance.

These stands look like exact replacement parts, are easy to install and fit perfectly. This includes a slight angle at the top brace slot that is unique to the Ford Edge. You can't buy a stand from every seller, this stand is special with a slightly angled socket and this product worked perfectly.

The racks I received were total junk - installed on a 2015 Ford Edge. The failed struts I replaced had significantly more weight capacity than these brand new struts (not enough to hold the tailgate, but much more than new struts). After installing these racks, we mistakenly let go of the tailgate, thinking our problems were solved, whereupon the tailgate immediately fell down and blood spilled on my head. The number of positive reviews here for such situations is . doubtful.

Worked great. Current support couldn't keep the back door open. Maybe I didn't use them correctly, but this is a set of two left side supports. I bought these for my dad for Christmas when we were going to install them we had to unscrew the top sections of one of the supports so it was facing the right way and secured to the door. It worked, but I'm not too comfortable with this setup. We tried rotating it so that it twisted so it was facing the right direction and we couldn't rotate it.

OK fresh install so I'll have to upgrade later. The racks arrived well packaged in new packaging, with instructions on a small folded piece of paper.
