Boxtech Aquarium Water Changer Pump - Fish Tank Water Change, Siphon Vacuum and Sand Cleaner for Effective Aquarium Water Filter Review

I only have a 6.5 gallon tank that uses water too quickly. The tank is almost half empty and I don't have the ability to clean up the sand nearly as much as I need to. I either need to find a control valve to slow the water flow or a smaller siphon that doesn't suck the water in as quickly.

I used this to drain rainwater from an old fishing boat that was parked in front of my entrance. It took about three balloon pumps to start sucking; I let it run for a couple of hours and it drained the accumulated water. (This was a very slow process, however.) I was perfectly happy not having to scoop out the rough liquid. The pipe was long enough to run from the bottom of the boat over the trailer and drain to the ground. Put it on.

Editing my review I would not recommend this product as I have tried to pump/use this cleaner for my fish tank and it has been very difficult to use . The water didn't pump and the pump didn't pump back up, so I was able to recompress the pump. I've tried this over and over again with and without the extension tubes since my tanks are only 3 feet off the ground. That didn't work for me. I would recommend spending a little more money on the best cleaner for your aquarium. I threw mine away…

Before I found this siphon, I gave up vacuuming with siphons that have to be shaken vertically or horizontally to start the water flow. Instead, I sucked on the end of the hose until water came out. Sometimes water got into my mouth from the tank. not the most pleasant. THEN I FOUND IT! Hooray! I gathered it in a harness and drove off. I received this siphon to replace my previous siphon which fell apart and was quite uncomfortable. When I opened this one I was a bit disappointed to see that the hose was thinner than my old hose and my old hose was quite slow. Excellent use - arrived as planned - quickly. Much better than my smaller python. Quickly sucks dirt out of the substrate without watering the large amount of dirt.
