If you do a lot of Dremel work, this set of replacement collets is a must. However, please note that they are made of brass and will therefore not withstand rough treatment for very long periods of time, which is not normally a problem when working with Dremel. An advantage of being softer than steel is that they fit oversize bits more easily. Of course, this is also a disadvantage if you want extreme precision. I don't know how I lost the original other than doing what I do (or: working recklessly). But I lost one of the sizes of the lathe tool collet. Harbor Freight doesn't sell parts themselves, so I turned to good old Revain for ideas. I don't have a Dremel branded product so I wasn't sure how compatible these collets would be with my Chicago Electric rotary motor. I bought these for my Wen 2305 rotary tool (ie cheap "alternative" to Dremel). They come in very handy because I use various small jewelry attachments that are too small for standard Dremel collets. The variety of sizes makes it easy to find one that fits the racquet I use. My only minor complaint is that they are a bit loose in the instrument. Once you've tightened everything they still work fine, but I think the loose fit causes a bit of wobble when using my smallest 1mm jeweler's bit. I…

They fit and work great with my Dremel 395 although the shape of the collets is different from the original. They are decently made, if not perfect. Aside from a few minor imperfections, there were only two in my kit that needed some deburring on the slots and on the bottom of the stock.
