Went with another for rough plumbing

Reviewers said this valve could be leaking. I took it anyway because I liked the look. Tried to seal it but it leaks all the time. Bought new compression rings, didn't help. Then I got a second set from Home Depot and the same problem. I didn't over tighten the nuts but I think to get them to seal you need to use really big wrenches so you can tighten the nut a bit more. with Monster & Master MM-FV-003. Great valve.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Lightweight 1/4 turn outlet valve

I bought 4 of these to upgrade two (new 3/8" vanity faucets. They are good quality except one doesn't close / Fits well. I think the compression sleeve was a little crooked. Since the brass is malleable I was able to work with this to seal and function properly. These are metal valves with a plastic interior. This is normal as these are check valves 1/ 4 turn where they are unlikely to violently break/break. Again, this can be a good thing as plastic does not easily accumulate hard water…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Align the threads when replacing

Few think about replacing the valves under the meter until they leak, but we should do it if the house is more than twenty years old. These valves are better than the valves typically contractor installed because this quarter turn valve does not have a rubber seat that will go bad and leak when you need it most. They are easy to install WHEN THE WATER IS OUT. Caution: When replacing valves, there are many thread sizes and pitches, and you must match the original so that you can use the same…

Designed, made, packaged in the USA and best of all, 100% lead free.

What I love about Brass Craft, at least on some items as some of them are made in America, but they are also made with such craftsmanship. Of course you can buy cheap imported corner stops and save money, but from personal experience they tend to leak, corrode and seize at worst. While you might pay a little more at Brass Craft, you get the quality that comes with American craftsmanship. Also, make sure the water is completely shut off when you remove the corner stop. All you really need is a…

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Disappear

OK, just the right valve. But what I like is that it looks so much better than the original I replaced and comes off completely in just a quarter turn. Installation was quick and easy (10 minutes max) and when I used the SS connector it actually looked a lot better than the OEM. A cheap and simple solution for a valve that does not close completely. The original didn't close completely, was 20 years old and had sand in it. So I turned off the water on the pump that went into the house, relieved

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Available in white only

Probably a rare defect, but I did it.

I bought 2 of these and installed the first with no problems. The second was leaking out of a 1/2" compression sleeve. Tried tightening it up, didn't help. I removed it and added more teflon tape and it didn't work. I noticed the compression nut looked a bit askew so I took it unwrapped the threads and put it back on, but every time I tightened it a little it still looked like the 1/2" nut was bent, so not "not a good seal around the compression ring and tube. I ended up using a compression nut

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Good Quality Ball Valve

Originally installed in our house, the check valves with screws didn't work or didn't work when really needed. We replaced them all with ball valves. Ball valves only take 1/4 turn to turn on or off, and a quick visual inspection will tell you if they're on or off. The brass components on this valve are of much better quality than the cheap valves fitted by our manufacturer. Perhaps the biggest installation challenge is removing the old compression ring from the 1/2 inch copper pipe coming out…
