Well, you wouldn’t know that these are advertised as "water sandals”. They are fully closed toe shoes that just happen to have waterproof coating on them (water resistant) and dry quickly. These don’t have big holes or mesh fabric for water drainage like most water shoes. They are also heavier than thin flimsy pull-on water shoes, more like regular shoes. Though these shoes are listed as "sandals” . . . As you can see from the pictures, they cover the entire foot. They have very nice traction on the bottom. Nice padding on the footbed. Velcro strap going across. I like that there is a loop in the back to make it easier to get them on. I have been trying to find a shoe my little granddaughter won’t mind keeping on. I knew Keens had a fairly good reputation so I thought it was worth a shot. Really perplexed as to why these are called sandals. These are way more similar to tennis shoes then sandals. They definitely keep the water out, feet dry, and they’re not slippery. These shoes look very cool, don’t get dirty, are very lightweight and don’t get damaged! The velcro strap is the only thing that I had problems with before, as they got unstitched from the shoe. But they were so good that I bought a new pair.

My son loves these shoes. He is on the Spectrum and has trouble with most other shoes but loves these. We got them in March and they have been worn mostly indoors. Sadly they started peeling on the top after only a couple months. For the price and the brand, I expected more.

These shoes fit my daughter perfectly, they are true to size. They are comfortable and have good treads. They seem like they will be good all around shoes, for everything from playing to hiking. Keens usually fit her well, and these are no exception. These are easy for kids to put on and take off on their own. The soles don't mark the floor. My only complaint is the Velcro and elastic closure. It's perfectly functional, but the elastic isn't adjustable, the way keens normally are.

Had to go up a full size. Loved the style and the toe protection. Huge hole developed in the sole in just a couple months time. Shoe size still fit comfortably, so my kid hasn’t even been wearing them long enough to have outgrown them. I mean, seriously, what material is this sole to get worn down so quickly.
