Very easy to install if you're not an idiot. I replaced the builder class unit which was like a $2 prostitute. This one has a lot more flavor and can actually suck out the smell of manure with ease. Both HD and Lowes tried to find something local and fast, but all they had were expensive sets at twice the price. 80cu. fpm, 4 inch connection, low noise, 2 days delivery even in the corona world.

As advertised, I was able to complete the process without going to the attic. It was pretty easy for me to install in under an hour. The hardest part was getting the old fan out. My duct is 3" and the new fan is 4" so I had to go to my local hardware store to buy a 4" to 3" adapter for about $10 with aluminum tape for about $6 more. If your old exhaust fan is a small building fan, you probably need one too.

This is a really well built and exceptionally quiet device. Of course, this is a squirrel cage fan and not one of those flat, noisy blades. After a full install I went to the roof to check the airflow and was pleasantly surprised at how much it pushes. I have a flexible insulated duct that is about 8 feet long. We installed one of these in our new basement bathroom and also in our laundry room where it heats up quickly when our gas dryer is on (although the dryer vent is closed). immaculate condition). Cons: * Depending on where you stand in your bathroom, you can see the fan through the fan grille on two floors and have no access from above. Good product but incomplete. Many people may not be aware that you must have a "Romex cable clamp" for the opening to access the incoming electrical cables. It's a code and it's been around for decades. This small piece is shown on the instructions if you look closely, but is not included with this product.
