Overall I am happy with this fan. our small bathroom * Broan's customer service over the phone was excellent and friendly. Cons: * Depending on where you stand in your bathroom, you can see the fan through the fan grille on two floors and have no access from above. Expect the block to act as a base plate when mounting it on a composite wood I-beam (it would be nice if this was included in the instructions). More importantly, there are no mounting holes on the opposite side of the fan housing. This would be a nice added feature to compensate for mistakes made by the home builder or whoever installed your original fan on the wrong side of the floor joist. I drilled 3 holes on the opposite side of the fan box (mirror image of the factory side) and everything fitted well. This saves me from cutting a new hole in the ceiling, hanging new drywall in place of the original vent hole, installing a new vent, and running new ducting.
