By far the best sneakers I've ever bought

I've bought running shoes from all brands (nb, nike, adidas, puma, asics etc.) and usually get 2 years max on them. These shoes are the best and I can say with confidence that they will last me at least 3-5 years.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • May not fit all foot shapes and sizes.

Updated classic in my review

Cascadia 16 is a good upgrade from the previous versions I had 11, 12 and 13 in my opinion. My last pair of 13s lasted a long time. The best improvement is the stone protection plate in the outsole. It is invisible when walking and running on flat surfaces, on rocky and rooted places it makes my feet happy. They fit just like the previous generation Cascadia. The new material around the toe box feels strong and probably has good wear resistance.

Pros
  • I use these shoes for thought, they are excellent quality and comfortable.
Cons
  • May cause discomfort on runs over 10 miles.

2 issues - my rating

Because of this product my feet smelled bad at first, after washing with o3 they are fresh. This product has gluing problems in the wide version, the glue is visible and sloppy

Pros
  • My husband loves her. We ride both highways and trails and live off gravel. You are great for both of you.
Cons
  • May not be strong enough for heavy use

The heel slips off - my new rating

I really wanted to piss her off. I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger only to find that I had to tie them UNCOMFORTABLY tight and my heel was still slipping off the heel cup.

Pros
  • As advertised, fast shipping, great product. Future reviews to see if they hold up in the Colorado mountains as advertised.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate toe protection on rocky terrain.

Brooks is the best: my rating

From time to time I try different other brands and styles. I keep going back to these Brooks trail running shoes. I train mostly on track so they're perfect for me, but I road race in these shoes and they work well.

Pros
  • Love the colors, very comfy
Cons
  • May not be suitable for runners with wide feet.

Sensational best in my rating

I had trouble finding shoes in my size. I took a chance there and I'm so glad I did. I've used them to walk around NYC and my feet haven't been happier. Would buy again in a heartbeat

Pros
  • A good thing
Cons
  • May not be suitable for runners with plantar fasciitis.

I've been running in Brooks shoes since the mid '70s.

They arrived 10 days earlier than expected - exceptional service. 77 years old, ultra (partial) cross-country in about 2 weeks. I owe my nearly 50 year longevity to my many pairs of quality Brooks shoes, from the Vantage to my current Cascadias.Yippee.

Pros
  • Excellent support
Cons
  • Cannot have enough drainage to cross the water

like a clog - my new review

I bought these hoping for a good trail runner with protection from sharp rocks and tree roots. I was really looking forward to your delivery. When they arrived, I immediately swapped out my socks for the recently purchased merino wool hiking socks. Walked outside on different surfaces to give the shoes a good shake. The first thing I noticed was the narrow toe. My big toe on both feet was rubbing the inside of the shoe. Despite the secure lacing, the heel slipped with every step. Hiking trails…

Pros
  • The Cascadia has been my running shoe of choice for many years. Great looks, comfort and elegance!
Cons
  • May cause irritation on the back of the heel

Durable and versatile footwear

It's been 6 months and they still work great. Still in good condition. Use for hiking, running, running shoes, etc. All in 1. Happy with this brand. Much better value than my Hoka.

Pros
  • The Brooks Cascadia 16 trail running shoe men's shoe is built to last, making it a dependable choice for even the toughest terrain.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate traction on wet surfaces

Comfortable and durable

I've been running and walking in Brooks Cascadia shoes for a while now. A few years ago I tried to switch to another brand, but shortly thereafter "ran" back to Cascadias. Not only are they comfortable for walking and running, but they are also very durable.

Pros
  • Ideal
Cons
  • May not provide adequate ankle support

beautiful gradient

I'm a 5'7 170 trail runner, this is by far the best trail running shoe for technical, wet, muddy, difficult trails, I also do OCR and spartan races, very good grip uphill and downhill, roomy toe box, doesn't cause blisters. These trail running shoes are a versatile shoe for the rigors of the great outdoors.

Pros
  • Versatility: These shoes can be worn for more than just running, making them a versatile addition to any athletic wardrobe.
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable when running on steep slopes.

All Day Comfort - Men's

I've had them long enough to now say they stand alongside other top running shoes like the Speedgoat 4. I like wearing these shoes very much.

Perfect for running

So comfortable and amazing support. I'm usually a 10 1/2 wide and this fits perfectly. I hope you always carry far. I bought a second pair for my closet. I like you very much.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Useless features

Climbing Painful - Shoes

Shoes fit well but after 20 miles of walking they are too painful for my climb. I gave them to my mom and she complained of the same pain so maybe I had a defective pair.

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • No Job

A big improvement over Cascadia 15!

The new materials in the upper of this shoe feel much more durable than my last pair of Cascadia 15's which punctured after only 2 seasons (150 miles or so) of use.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some issues

Very comfortable shoes

The shoes are comfortable but I wish the last was straighter. I wouldn't wear socks that are too thick if you didn't increase the size by 1/2. They meet my low mileage needs, but I wouldn't spend that much money on another pair.

Pros
  • Comfortable to wear
Cons
  • There are some downsides

Nice to find wide walking shoes

At 13 feet wide with bunions I have a lot of trouble finding the right shoes. I usually wear NewBalance shoes, which fit well, but walking shoes are a different matter. Nobody stocks my size so I have to order online and hope. I tried several brands and this was the only one that seemed wide enough for me.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Little things

Best Brooks Ever - Shoes

I love these shoes. I have always loved Brooks shoes and have been wearing Brooks for many years now. And without a doubt, this is my most comfortable pair I've ever bought. They always take a week or so to "slow down" so to speak. Not this one, great. There are no high arches or the tips aren't too tight. Great support, I feel it more under the heel on this pair where I would always feel too much pressure under the arch on other pairs. Dear Brooks

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Thoughtlessness

Hard Case - Trail Running

Due to the composite toe guard wrapping around my toes, I found my big toes rubbing against it in the shoe. My 12D is the same width as my Ghost 13s which as it's all fabric allows for some flexibility and I don't notice it with Ghosts and I'm carrying my third pair with no problem. I have a lot of room in the front, but the width feels narrow. In short, trail running shoes are uncomfortable around the big toe. I will look into other trail running shoes

My long relationship with Cascadia has just ended

Cascadia has been my favorite shoe for a few years. Whether it's on the trail, on the street, or just for carrying, the Cascadia is incredibly comfortable and reliable. I have ridden my Cascadias 1600 miles in the last 18 months and have tried 3 models. I have recommended her to friends and family. I sang her praises. But my romance with Brooks had just collapsed. 4 months ago I tried Glycerin as my new road cycling shoe. While I loved the soft foam feel (softest shoe I've ever walked in, to be
