I often run early in the morning when it's completely dark. This belt will definitely make you visible to traffic! I also like the battery, although it doesn't seem to stay charged for more than a couple of days. It's not too much of a problem as it's fairly easy to charge. I would definitely recommend this belt to anyone running or walking early in the morning or late in the day.

The whole point of this belt is to provide 360 degree visibility. Unfortunately, the lighted portion of the belt only goes about halfway through my 33-inch waist. So on the one hand you're still dark. I wouldn't buy this again. Update: I'm updating my rating and adding a star because I end up using this thing. I just want the lighted part to be longer. I measured it and the lighted strip is 19 inches long.

I have to admit this is probably one of the best purchases I've made in terms of running gear. I want a glowing LED to be all around the belt. it's probably only 20 inches. my work around. since my runs are on the left side of the road (oncoming traffic), i place the glowing part on the right side of my waist so that i can be seen from both the back and the front while running. and I turn on the blinker.

I really like this product. It is also clearly visible in daylight. The battery life is several weeks. The only problem I have is that the belt is too short. I have a 35" waist and when I'm wearing a light jacket, the belt barely closes even at full length. Unfortunately, this article is only available in one size. So if you have a 40 inch waist it will be pretty tight even with the belt stretched. It would be ideal if the tape was just 5 inches longer.

Update II: After receiving the replacement belt and using it for some time the problem seems to be resolved. The belt is easy to turn on and off.
